Sport DIESEL SUPERCHARGED ?

HI ALL IAM LOOKING FOR A V8 DIESEL AND CAME ACROSS A RRS V8 DIESEL BUT IT SAYS ITS A SUPERCHARGED AUTOBIOGRAPHY 2010, NOW I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY THE PETROL ONES THAT WERE SUPERCHARGED UNLESS SOME FIRM HAS PUT ONE ON , ANYONE KNOW IF THEY DO A SUPERCHARGED DIESEL.

Diesel V8 is twin turbo, and by 2010 I believe it's a 5.0L supercharged petrol.

Ad is wrong. Maybe it's a diesel with supercharged grill and lights?

TOTALLY AGREE I WAS GOING TO HAVE A LOOK AT IT BUT THE CHAP KEEPS SAYING ITS SUPERCHARGED, BUT ITS A 3.6 TDV8 , I THINK HE NEEDS TO HAVE A GOOD LOOK AT THE CAR AND PUT IT RIGHT.

Diesel engines can be supercharged but Land rover don't do one. Only turbo charged.

TD should be a clue.

Although, if we wanted to be pedantic, turbos are actually turbine driven superchargers.

Loosely but superchargers give boost from the give go turbos don't. You don't get lag in superchargers.

The Commer TS3 springs to mind, loved the sound of them when I was a kid.

Ah the opposed piston 2 stroke beast, sounded like a heavy machine gun when the silencer went

Yep have worked on a lot of those. The supercharger drive shaft flattened at one end and hooked up a little made a super crow bar. Dirty filthy things to work on though.
