Hello, firstly thanks for anyone who can help. Just had my Disco 4 serviced and noticed a smell of diesel and a patch of diesel on the floor, someone told me it is probably a fuel filter incorrectly fitted, has anyone experienced this before?

More fool me for using a Halfords auto centre I guess, stupid idea.

Any advice?

Thanks

sons girlfriend had service and MOT halford they tried the usual requires new battery as it leaking acid
had a look and there was no leak cleaned the dirt of the battery ,she took it back the look of disappointment on the so called mechanic
was a treat to behold

Maybe couldn't get a good enough grip on the filter with their teeth

Probably missed an o ring or didn't realise the seal didn't come off with the last filter. To be sure I would park the truck after a run and shove a big piece of card under it which will indicate the area it's coming from. Give your argument a bit more leveridge if it is from the filter area, save a red face if it's from somewhere else :)
