please can anyone help on this,

diesel p38 auto got bad vibration, changed front diff due to to play in it which made no differance, looking at other Qs on here i could poss be tranfer box?
when driving on motorway it loses power until u release throttle and then kick it back down its only got stored faults for number 4 injector and fly wheel sensor - i have changed both of these too

does anyone know if that vibration would make flywheel flexi plate flex too much so sensor cant read it? or any other ideas please???

whilst i have been changing these parts to see the problem a fuel sender unit packed up which was renewed and fuel filter head got stuck on and got hot and drained battery and i have left this unplugged

any ideas on this please

flex plates are the most common problem for vibrations, if its cracked where the cps is that would give you your intermitent power loss. have you check for the cps fault code sinse changing it? if its logged again it would suggest the flex plate.

You need to isolate whether its an engine fault or driveline shudder.

On a straight section of road put it in neutral and turn off the engine. If its still vibrating then its driveline.

You said you're replaced the front diff, I assume you've checked both front and back driveshafts. A worn uj gives alot of driveline judder.

The Bosch EDC only goes to the crank sensor for data to corelate the no. 4 injector data. If the no. 4 is faulty, it then fully relys on the crank sensor. When the crank goes faulty your engine cuts out. I had a similar issue when both of mine went, the crank sensor intermittently. When I replaced the injector I damaged the wire and had to replace it a second time. This is exactly what happened the original one too as when I took it out there had been a repair job done on the sensor wire.
I carefully replaced the second time ensuring i never snagged the wire and the car has run faultlessly since.
