The MAF is just an hot wire sensor easy to damage. The MAP is a pressure sensor which i suppose could get clogged by oil from manifold. Maybe a gentle washout with something not too toxic and a gentle blow with an airline may do some good. But not guaranteed to.

The MAF sensor is quite delicate but does benefit from light cleaning.
Lightly clean with carb cleaner or brake cleaner if you notice some soot build up.

Find something for cleaning electronic components carb cleaner or brake cleaner maybe too aggressive specially for the MAF.

Electric cleaner as I have found out in the past was not a good idea for plastic and rubber but contact cleaner was better, similar cleaning capabilities as carb cleaner. It is less powerful than electric cleaner making cleaning the heating element, contact, and ducting easy. It also dries very fast leaving no residue.
Remember the heating element in the MAF easily breaks.

Yes but not electrical cleaner mind....far too strong..

Ok have done the MAP and MAF with electrical cleaner. Very dirty so worth doing, plus checked for any fault codes afterwards. Engine runs smooth so will see if any long term benefit in MPG etc.
