Took two injectors out today to see if they were working correctly.cleaned them up and put them back.now seems like I've got more black smoke and when I accelerate hard the engine dies.could it be overfueling.there also a fuel return on each injector.does anyone know if fuel actually returns to the pump through these.none comes out of mine.don't know whether to put new injectors in but best price I can find for bosh ones is £81each.any advice please.

You should be getting fuel out of the returns. Some engines return 4 times as much fuel as they use. I would suggest that maybe the injectors are stuck open. Are you sure you put them back together properly? Might be worth getting them checked out by a diesel specialist. Word of warning though, get a price first.Sometimes works out cheaper to get new ones rather than get old ones tested and reconditioned.

Checked that they were spraying diesel before putting them back.why would it cut out when accelerating hard.
