I checked for power on the glow plugs and they are not coming on at all. Fuse F26 is also blown and keeps blowing when I plug a new one in. This fuse has been blown for months so I didn't think this could be the problem I am having now???

Fuse 26 on diesel cars pre 1999 is fuel heater, the unit at the top of the filter. Fuse 26 not used on diesels after 1999.

If your car is pre MY1999 fuse 33 services ONLY the data link connector (OBDII socket). It does not service any other circuit. The fault must be in the line or in the OBDII socket itself or whatever you are plugging into it.

Success!!!!:high5:
The blown Metal Fuse link for the heater plugs was the culprit. I don't know how the bad fuel pump blew an 80Amp link before the the 10amp but it works!!! Battery was quite flat so had to leave it on charge for a while but it fired up pretty quickly which is encouraging. (I connected the fuel line to the filter with the pump running to expel as much air as possible). Thanks for all the suggestions on here - saved me a small fortune.

Think you will find the bills are in the post :D:D:D

Thanks Guys,
I will check the cut off switch and if live at injection pump solenoid. Once I have the correct size olives and fit the fuel pump I will see if still no live at the pump relay. :) Live near tiny village called Ballinspittle , Co. Cork IRE
XXXXX For future reference a engineering supplies company or a plumbing supplies they are 8mm 5/16th and I thought they were loose on the pipe but they tighten up. You should use new nuts as well. My pump came fully kitted out. My old nuts were tired :D

If the 80 amp link blew, you most likely have a failed glowplug.
