Diesel engine oil

Hi, just a quicky, anyone enlighten my to the best spec oil for my dhse engine and autobox, going for a complete oil change this weekend before we get more snow.

gearbox if i remember right its dextron lll wich is around twice the price of normal atf. as for eng oil, well people will differ on that but stick to what the book says and use a quality make

Hi, book gives different specs for range of temperatures, ie 5W/40,10W/30 or 10W/40, any preference,thinking of using Castrol ?
