Diesel cruise control

Could anyone give pointers were to check, it has hiline becm, button on dash and set/res on steering wheel and under driver side vent is what looks like a relay but if I press button on dash nothing happens

Button on dash is just the on/off switch, you need to hit set button on steering wheel above ????? mph, I cant remember what speed .

Have you moved the brake switch by any chance, it does two functions. When ressed It makes a circuit for the brake lights and cuts the circuit for the cruise control system.

As Mark said above check the brake light switch on the peddle it needs to be set, you have to hold the peddle down and pull the switch plunger out then let the peddle up and it should set its self,
check the easy stuff first

There is a little update I have heater rear and front screen working but bottons don't light up so I wondered if bulb was blown so I pressed dash button and set on steering wheel above 31 and it worked I also set it at 60 then slowed down and res worked aswell and when dash button off it doesn't work so appears it's a blown bulb lol

mind you its probably harder to change the bulbs then the brake switch

So replace switch then

The bulbs in the cruise switch are easy to change its just you have to remove so many other bits to get to it

I do have no light for rear heated screen or front windscreen either so fo all 3 at same time possibly

Or do they have a common feed/earth ?

Front heated screen has 2 fuses in the fuse box not the usual 1

catches people out sometimes.

They work bud just them. 3 buttons don't light up

Sounds like time to change all the bulbs while the switch set is out
