Can anyone recommend a home diagnostics piece of kit to suit a D1 V8i

The new Hawkeye hand held looks the job but is quite expensive for a D1 or am I just mean??

Will I need it in the future for say airflow meter probs etc and more ABS faults or is there a "Blink" method I can use for engine issues?

Bearmach very good but locked to one vehicle by VIN code. May also need more than one cable. I tried to find out what I needed for diesel Disco but was referred to Bearmachs manual i.e. work it out yourself. I invested in nanocom and found one of the last units around - they are selling on ebay for £230 secondhand. Matti (Nanocom) emailed me to advise new stocks in this week but all dealers say it will be March. I think updated unit on sale then may do V8 - email Nanocom to check.
