Sounder disconnected, dont know how I should have done it but I just unplugged it from the back. No alarm noise and ive put a 7.5amp fuse in as ive got no 5s and its not blew it as yet? Theres no alarm fault warning on the dash either?

Battery fecked in the sounder then. They leak and corrode the internals to feck. Try the nanocom now.

Ok so heres what we have found :- 4 right hand blend motor short ( fault type = current)
Rear left sensor short to another SE 012 TIMES
P1668 Anti theft alarm serial link fault drive cycle a occured 70 times signal too low, currently not present
P1592 rough road signal implausable drive cycle a occured 1 times signal invalid fault is currently present

Answered on your other thread.

I just had the F33 blowing issue on my 1998 P38.

Is the Batt Backed Up Alarm Sounder only on 1999 & later cars ? . . . or does the usual AMR4971 unit below the fuse box cause this as well ?

My Nanocom works fine with PC USB Cable, and EAS-Unlock works on the diag connector.

No it's also fitted to earlier versions. AMR4971 is the BBUS unit.

A fecked sounder will do that.

So are the 1997 diagrams in RAVE wrong for the 1998 model ? They show the sounder on F44 & F38 rather than F33.

Only the 1999 onwards seem to have F33 connected to the BBUS ?

I will get the multimeter out later and see just in case.

There were lots of wiring and fuse usage changes in MY1999 different fuse box different lay out. Mine was made 1998 registered 1999 but is not MY 1999 but it has BBUS fitted. BBUS uses fuses 38 and 44 10 amp on 1997/98 cars fuse 33 is data link connector 5 amp. 1999 BBUS uses fuses 33 5 amp (spliced to data link) and 35 10 amp. Fuses 38 and 44 on MY 1999 have different functions. 38 is ABS, 44 is petrol ECM or diesel fuel heater.
