just filled the freebie back up and it cost £75.58, only got 358 miles to the full tank, this works out at 26mpg!!!!!!

something must be wrong, td4 auto and i dont drive it heavy at all

Oofft, that ain't right! I get between 450-470 miles out of my tank (manual TD4).

Thats disgusting might aswell get a rangie or a tratter

yes quite a lot to be honest

well there you go the Td4 auto is rubbish in the city, all that slip the torque converter gives.

In the 60K I had my FL1 TD4 auto it avereaged 28mpg - so 26 mpg around town doesn't seem too bad. The FL2 auto was giving the similar mpg for the first 20k miles, until diesel passed £5 a gallon, now keep speed down to 60-65mph on motorways (40miles to work), and get 32mpg.
Look on the bright side, during the winter consumtion on several tank fulls dropped to less than 23mpg using the snow setting.
A lot of people on the Freel2 site claim a lot better, some see worse - driving style, and not just speed seems to have a large influence on consumption.
