Please Please, anyone can advise, my land rover discovery broke down on Tuesday 31st May,I had it recovered to my usual garage, where it is to date.I am told it is "pressure/fuel pump" as I ran the Disco low on fuel, garage says its huge job they have to remove "Body off" and it will cost me £3000. I am numb,Has anyone else had this problem? please get back to me. Thanks in Despair.

At that price, you're right to despair, but we do need to know which Discovery you have, before we can offer much assistance.

As Beneagles said in post #7, if the recall applies to your vehicle it could seriously reduce your costs.

best of luck with it, and welcome to the forum, too:)

hi and thanx for message Disco 4 hse 2011,

Body off to change hp fuel pump, ouch!, don't' quite see the connection between running out of fuel and pump replacement, unless of course someone filled and started it on petrol?

If the mis fueling is the cause, and I am not saying it is - is it covered on your vehicle insurance - I ask because I noticed a new clause on my policy to include some cover for such an event......
