deformed spats

Hi
I have a td5 90 county with factory painted spats they have become mis-shaped, sort of bulged inwards,and now they look gay,has anyone tried straightening spats before with heat or any other tricks ?

chances are then that the deformation is diesel so the only fix is to replace the arch and the diesel causes the deformation

You may be able to re-shape it with a heat gun jobby.

photobucket is playing up tonight, is it a 110 or 90 and what engine is it?

Its a td5 90 both the rear and one of the front spats have gone like it the other front one has been replaced at some time and is still straight,i have seen other defenders with the same problem,in fact my last one did the same, just wondered if anyone had a fix for it.As its a county they are factory painted and it would cost loads to get a new set and get them painted
