Hi, just been told by my Accountant that my 110 XS is a car as far as HMRC is concerned. Is that correct? Thanks for any help! John

Cheers. Seems daft when the log book says it's a Light Goods Vehicle. Oh well big tax bill coming! Thanks anyway.
At some point in the mid noughties Land Rover got the dvla to agree that for registration purposes, defenders would be classed as LGV's. This gave the benefit of much lower road tax. My station wagon gets the lower road tax :).

I spoke to CPM recently because there is a car park I need to use which is 'no commercials' and they confirmed that in their view they class Land Rovers as cars, not commercials. I didn't ask what would happen if I parked it there with the top off, so it would look like a pickup, but I would reckon best not to do that.
