So I'm thinking of replacing my rad this winter with a new Nissens unit as mine has a bow in the bottom and who knows when it may fail. Plus the Nanocom read a couple high temp events.

Anything else worth doing while the coolants drained? New coolant obviously, thermostat? anything else?

If the rad is out for being replaced anyway it makes access really easy for changing the idlers on the fan belt. Helped a friend replace his recently and after struggling for a while decided to remove the rad to make things easier!

Fair shout on that one. Ill check mine see if theres any play!
There was not meaningfully any play in his, but one had started badly squealing, we replaced both. However the second one, which looked fine and was ordered as a precaution, was also running rough and once removed could be felt when turned by hand that the bearing was no longer smooth.
