Defender seating

You can get much nicer seats for £1k! I bought Courbeau RSS seats, leather, heated, buckets but not extreme at all. Best seat ive ever sat in, so supportive and comfortable on long drives.

Do a little research before commenting bud. The new exmoor seats are based on the RSS. And not only do they come heated, but also with full set of runners and sliders with 3 different height settings....

Edit: take a look at their site. They aren't listed in their products page yet. Shows you a pic within a competition and says release date.

 They do look good. Mine came with runners too, no height setting though. Either way VERY comfy seats. Nene Overland have their own rebranded ones which are £1K PER SEAT !

To be honest recently I have found the Exmoor Trim stuff to be a little lacking. Got a cubby box from them after a few months the lid came off and I had to repair it. Got some tip up seats in the back which are hardly used but after a year the screws in the base have all come out and stripped the wood. Had to repair them as well.

So I would personally be weary of the actual quality of their seat, there's a lot of clones of the RSS (Badboy for one) which are no where near as good in terms of the internal frame and quality. It would not surprise me if that was a £120 seat with fancy leather stretched over it....

You are absolutely correct regarding the many RSS clones out there. Anyone considering the new seats from exmoor would have to be careful that exmoor haven't attempted to polish a turd, as it were.
On the other hand it may just be that they are making an all new seat and pricing them competitively.
I guess time will tell which way that have went. I agree with you though that exmoor will have to be careful that their reputation isn't completely destroyed. Because it will be if they plan to by £200 seats and charge a grand a pair simply by re trimming.

It does happen, thing is who is going to rip apart a £1k seat to check? The ones from Nene Overland 'D Icon' are genuine Corbeaus retrimed (or so im told)
Seat is ~£400ish,
runners/subframe ~£200ish,
Defender Icon rebrand £900.

I have modular seats that are not defender, which work ok, but they are cloth and want something waterproof, preferably vinyl or leather. But would like something modular so I can access the battery if I need to.
