Defender roof racks/

I've read on here that defender roofracks fit discoverys, and was wondering if anybody on here has fitted a defender one to their disco?

They are a different width. I know cos I've got a Disco & a Defender. There is not a lot in it about 50mm, so get one that can adjust.

I'm still on the hunt for one, as decent disco ones which go for sensible money on ebay etc are few and far between so I often miss them.

Been considering getting a bog standard defender 90 one and just bending the brackets out a bit (And possibly extend them so the rack fits over the standard disco roof bars), or slightly altering them so they're wider, but my concerns are;

1. Will a big commercial looking box section roofrack look awful on a curvy disco?
2. Will a 90 roof rack be vastly shorter than a discovery's roof, or will it be a good length for the disco? (I assume a 110 roofrack would be too long for the disco)

1. Who cares what it looks like your only going to put thing's on it, then take it off again.
2. A 90 is the same length as a Disc, only a couple of 2" in it.
