Defender Rebuild Help

I have created this page as suggested to put all the question on, also put some progress photos,

I have looked in the defender part catalog and can’t find what this part is called, does anyone know ?

I think its called a mounting stud, pt no. MRC9833

In the Land Rover parts book it's just listed as a stud part number MRC 9833.

Getting my bulkhead striped down ready for paint and the top part is bent, does anyone have a good suggestions how to fix, many thanks

Only way I can think of as it's hollow is clamp a solid piece of steel to it then heat it up and try and straighten it that way. You could make a jig with the correct angle off the other side lamp it to the bad side then heat it up and tap it back.

+1 for Gatso's method I'd heat it up first though to stop it cracking

Hmmm - you may want to move all those propane bottles (in the last picture) outside before you start grinding and welding!

Looking at the wiring I only have the main harness, which is a mess. what do I need to buy to wire everything up including the lights, fuel tank, ect. is there a place I can buy everything from or do I have to make it myself? I have a 1993 defender 110 v8

That must have been rolled, surely?
It's fair to say that you don't get exact shut lines on a Defender. Even so, if it's not close to true when you put the windscreen frame on the top will be further out. That will have knock on effects with the door, the side panels, the roof etc

not really sure what happened, it previously used on a farm and think it was driven into a tree or something. I have got the angle to match up with the good side, so hopefully everything should be okay

Well done. The bulkhead must be in good condition I presume?
Has your wiring loom been butchered by a previous owner? If not, does it not just need a clean to get old oil, tape etc off, then retaping?
Not sure if Paddock. LR Direct etc sell harnesses. Mines a 300Tdi 90. The harness has connections unused, but would have been if used in a petrol model. A 110 harness of the right age will probably have the right connections for a diesel or petrol V8. Hopefully, someone will confirm or correct that.

They offered me a job when I went in and ordered bits for my loom lol

the defender is coming along quite well but I have run into a problem, the doors don't line up correctly. does anyone know to fit this issue?
