I got one of the military wooden boxes designed to fit between the wheel arches. It stores loads of stuf and can be taken out if needed. Not sure if it will fit with rear seats in tho.

Hope this helps.

Any pics of it? It sounds the same kind of idea as mine except that mine is made from an almost indestructible plastic and has an aluminium front. Dont think ive came across older ones

I think the OP's got a great idea and its one I may steal. A simple angle frame to fit into the floor will give rigidity back and allow you to have a strong lid secured to it, a box make up to the inside dimensions of the chassis legs would be a fair size as well and its just a bit more storage, I also want a rear passanger and I carry my spare inside as well so this sounds like a great solution to where I store my straps/tools without taking up my valuable floor space. A lot of people put a rear winch in this space coming through the cross member, there is no reason it couldn't be used for storage...

Well i believe it to be a great idea, might have to let you be the guinea pig :)

I am replacing my exhaust to morrow so will have the space available to try out different things.

Just remember, when every one is copying the idea, It was mine first;):D

Wasn't :D look it up, quite a few on various forums have had the idea before but I couldn't find anyone who had gone through with it

Of course you could make someything similar to the MOD Jerrycan holders that fit in the seatboxes and are accessed from the outside.

However there's no reason why they couldn't be accessed from the inside.
