Defender not Charging

I have the TD5 charging again still not sure where the problem was though, reading the manual from rave disc it say fuses 6\7 go to power the alternator and the charge lamp so I checked these reading from left to right 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 simple eh!!! the fuses are numbered right to left 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 fuse 6 had blown but changing this did not cure fault I went into the dash lamp and earthed it this brought light on so I new light was working, I checked wiring back to alternator when I plugged connector back on the alternator it started working fine.It does look as though the connector might be at fault I must have had this on and off 20 times though ???.

Not finished with you lot yet though, I have registered the vehicle now in Ireland next step is to get DOE test I have just changed a tyre and noticed the ball joint on the drop arm from the steering box is worn, is this serviceable it has a circlip in the bottom.

Yes it is. the download manual on here tells you how. Do a search for the manual its got a fred of its own, If me 'puter speeds up a bit I'll have a look an post a link.
