defender lift pump

Make sure the female part of the terminals of the fuel pump relay grip the pins properly.

i don't know if yours was the same problem as mine sounds similar. i thought i had a immobiliser issue. the symptoms were that the ignition would sometimes allow the motor to start, but the main thing was that when ignition was turned on the fuel pump didn't operate. Sometimes it did until virtually never would at all. i opened up the electronics hole under the seat, switched on the ignition and lightly tapped each of the relays with my finger. the third (from front) relay clicked and the fuel pump started.

so, i found an auto electrician in Bathurst who had something equal (black, not yellow) $4.05 and it was solved.
