Defender is to far back needs to forward.

why I am waiting for gasket for fpr, the passenger door is out. it hits the the door post I have to remove a shim from the bulkhead top needs to about 1/8in can someone tell me what I need to do. would be great I will put some pictures up soon.

Have you had the bulkhead off the chassis?

Measure the door gap and compere with the good side first.
2 or ,4 door?

Hi the bottom of at the back of door is about 6mm top the door about 3mm so bulkhead needs forward 3mm

I have seen washers fitted between bukhead outrigger and bulkhead to shunt it forwards a tadge.

I need to take one out to allocate top of door to go forward. Col.

You have adjustment at the big bolt bottom of the A post, add remove washers.
And
Bracket bolted to footwell, add/remove shim plates.
You will need to slacken the bolts for the roof above the windscreen too.
It can end up a big job involving moving the tub too.
Measure the door gap on the other side (the aperture!) You may have a bad door.
