Hi Folks,
I`m looking for some advice about my 1999 defender TD5.
I have had problems with the landrover just dying out while driving along, I `ve had to get it lifted from the roadside 4 weeks ago as it stopped. The Garage replaced the fuel pump in the tank and blamed that.
Last week it wouldn`t start on they key however after 3 attempts it fired up no problem.
This morning it died out ( the key was clicking - no battery) and I jump started it sucessfully, only then within a mile the speedometer and fuel gauge both went back to Zero(fuse blown) I stopped to change the fuse ( 5th from left on top row) which had blown( i used a 10 amp fuse instead of a 20 amp) and then the landrover wouldn`t start with jump leads.
I called a garage ,he brought 20 amp fuses , put a 20 amp in ,jumped it and it started
Any help appreciated
John
