defender door top

i've just bought a defender door top for my series 3 and i'm not sure how to bolt it on.the original door top had studs to fix to the main door,the one i have just bought does not.do i just use bolts or is something missing?

don't anyone know?

look at a series 3 door top with studs coming out of the bottom,well this doesn't have them.all i wanted to know was does this door top have threads in it to allow fitment of studs or do you use bolts?btw,it's a military all alloy job.

can you not see if the holes are threaded. it's an m10 bolt so you could try fitting a bolt in the hole and see if it's threaded

this is what the underneath looks like,the right hand hole is the fixing hole and it's only 8mm.

Reet I've just been and had a loook at the pair I've got in me shed and there should be a M10 bolt in the hole nearest the edge of the door. the bolt has a blob of sealant. Probably serves 2 purposes 1 to seal it and 2nd to hold the bolt in place I would guess you need to remove the glass and channeling to fit a new bolt.

i knew i'd have to **** about with it!,guess that's why it was cheap!

I'll just change the batteries on me scamera and post you a pic.
