This has got me stumped. I've installed 2 locks in this door and both have the same issue.

I am able to engage the lock as it should using either the black latch or key, however when trying to unlock using these methods...NOTHING!!! It's as if there is something jamming. What happens is that once the lock is engaged it wont release and lift the latch allowing the mechanisms to rotate - I am only able to disengage by using a screwdriver or something similar to lift. I have tried to capture all of the rods to show that they are working as expected.

Have a look at the video I have recorded.

Typical we're on our Jollies and keep getting either locked in or locked out  I've ruined the door card in shear anger whilst trying to get to the mechanism - Does anyone have a good used one for sale :(

check the barrel, I seem to remember the end part to lock can rotate round- I could be imagining it though as 3+years ago

Yup the door is now stuck shut and you guessed it, it won't unlock from either inside or outside. If I clamber back in through the passengers door I can use a screwdriver at the latch to lift the lock and release the camber as in the video. All the rods are as the should be having compared it to the passengers side.

Any ideas what is at fault or is it that the lock is working as it should, (can't see how) and that it's the strike plate which is at fault.?!

I've tried two brand new lock mechanisms.

Use screw driver as latch pin test- far easier than door locked shut

I thought I'd fixed it last night, I eventually had it working as it should and having tested it at least 25 times. Eventually locked up last night and went back out this morning only to find we're back to square one.

Did you ever fix this, I have the same issue, there is a latch against the door skin (im on a rear passenger door) and if you pop this latch towards the inside of the car the door opens but not otherwise. Im a bit stumped with this one...:scratching_chin:

Had the same issue - Door would not open - randomly and every time "I fixed it" it jammed again at a more inconvenient time.

Finally stripped it down and lubricated lock - and it has not jammed for the last three months. ( But it is probably now plotting in the garage...)

This seems to have solved my issue too, after 30 minutes of WD40 soaking in it is co-operating :)
