Hi guys
Has anyone fitted a Defender brake pedal box to a series 2a / 3 if so when fitted with a servo and master cylinder is the pedal in the same position / angle as a series pedal would be or am i best fitting a series pedal box that is suitable for a servo :)

The possible problem is the servo and MC might extend into the edge of the wing. The series 3 wing has a cut out for the servo and reservoir. It's worth looking into, though, if you get dual circuits and the right hydraulics for your disk brakes.

The answer is maybe. Its fits the footwells OK but its taller and further forward than a Series servo tower, you can see the differences below.

To get it to fit under the deluxe bonnet I also had to shave a bit off the top.

The pedal is also a bit long and at the wrong angle so that needed cutting and shutting.

And even when you have done all that you will still need a wing and mud shield cut on a Series 3 to clear a tandem master cylinder.

So after all that I changed my mind and grafted the type 50 servo onto a Series pedal box.

I don't think it fits without a lot of work. Pedal height could be different and top of pedal box height is different too.
You can (with some work) fit the 9" 90 servo to the S3 pedal box with no mods to the wing if its already got the servo cut out.

Here it is before it went onto the bulkhead. It all fitted OK, but in its original position the vacuum takeoff fouled the reservoir. It needs turning around to clear it. Apart from that it was all pretty straightforward.

While your around, home much does the conversion add to the front track and do you think you can drain all the oil from the swivels with the drain bolt position.
