Hi all,

Seen a photo of a defender with angle eyes on here. Started doing a little bit of research on them because I am in a split mind as to whether I like them or not.

Im not keen on tarting up landys in general, I feel they should be dirty, scuffed and scratched, or in other words, "have character" as I am sure most of you agree.

But... the idea of having some day time lights for some reason does seem appealing, part Audi, part landy :D

Just wondering what anyone elses view on these products are, or if anyone has had them fitted and could say they are a waste of money, or a shnazzy buy!

If no one know what I am on about, got a little piccy of google :)

Let me know you're thoughts, Adam

I got these on my fender  they are a lot brighter than the old lights but I need to replace a bulb as MOT noticed one was not as bright as the other, could be just a duff earth connection, but been too busy to check it out yet.

The only thing with the angel eyes is the original sidelights are still on and I think it looks stuuupid to have led's and normal bulbs on at same time. I also have four angel eye driving lamps to fit above windscreen and a couple of bigger spotlights to go on bumper. Once I have them all on and connected up, I plan to fit two of the led strips you can buy around the outside of my original side lights and re-wire things so that it's all angel eyes or all normal lights.

No, I'm not gay, I just like angel eyes.

Do you have any piccys? Or could take any piccys of the finished product, still not entirely sure if I want them on my tatty old girl haha. They may not fit in with its "rustic" "hard working" kinda look :)

Oh right, I thought it was a technical post on the angle of the lights.....its about angel eyes.:D:doh:

Haha sorry to disappoint, all I can tell you about the angle of these angel eye replacements is that they apply with MOT standards for beam angles. But obviously that is of no use to you because you aren't interested in angel eyes! ;)

Thats my fault for spelling it wrong! sorry :)

I don't think it's dark enough for them to show well, but wait an hour or so and I'll go down and take a photo.

Much to the amusement of some of my neighbours, but it wasn't too bad:

See what I mean about the sidelights though, I think it looks really stoopid like that

Cheers mate. They look rather nice to be honest, better then I expected them to be. And yes, I definitely see what you mean about the side lights, can't you get LED's for them? would look class together :)

stick some indicator bulbs in the side lights ;)

interesting, however it seems a bit "not land rover" to me, kind of takes away from the charm of the land rover, okay, charm may be the wrong word, if you know what I mean.

on another note, placing the sign in front of the grill, would it reduce cooling, or cause overheating?
