Defender 90 td5 1999 - Wiper arms keep falling off

I have replaced the wiper blades, arms and spindles on my 99' defender 90 td5. However the arms keep falling off the spindles when I activate the wipers.
Is there a particular way/trick I need to consider when attaching the arms back onto the spindles?

Push them on to the adaptor a bit harder. Or you might need to get new adaptors.

There is a point where the arm "clicks" into place. Bought some new spindle adaptors for my Ninety a while back, they were made of cheese.
Found some old ones in my box of bits, Series 2a type with the little bolt not grub screw. Much better.

The wiper arms should have a small metal spring clip on them that sits in the groove around the bottom of the spindle. Line them up with the splines then give them a whack on with a small hammer. Had one of mine that kept falling off and I ended up replacing the splined section of the spindles and then just tapping them on. Never had an issue since
