Defender 90 respray - colour options ??

Decided to take the plunge and remove the white raptor paint from my def 90. It is a horrific job but had to do it as the previous owner didn’t apply correctly. Defender is currently all white with black bonnet, arches and roof (which are also raptor). Going to keep the black raptor, roof, bonnet and arches and respray the rest.

I am torn between green and grey… I have the copper stt pro muds fitted, roof spots and nudge bar, side windows (tinted) etc. I know there has been multiple threads on colour choices but wanted to re visit to get your opinions please…..thanks

Whatever you go for you'll need to have the v5 changed unless it's non permanent eg a wrap

Yeah it will be permanent. Pretty straight forward to change. 90 has series doors and a few other older school bits. Don’t want to spoil it by going to modern a colour. Looked at aintree or epsom green. When you look online it just fry’s your head

They did a weird metallic red which i thought looked really good in the flesh, don't see many about. Won't be cheap though.
Green vs grey.. everything is grey at the moment, i loved the green they used on the RRC

Grey although you'd need a white roof ....

One of my friends repainted his in fergie grey tractor enamel with a black roof. That looked quite good. Will see if I can find a pictures







Of course it is not as good as the mighty Masai red which is the best colour to choose!

Nah ... white roof. it's the only sensible option, anything else is an act of hooliganism.

I completely agree, and then you can paint the rest of it red and it becomes perfect!

I may well be wrong ... the best way is to take it to the nearest Land Rover Main Stealer and ask them ....

Just found article online. It’s a works edition supposedly finished in ‘Roma red’ …..

The wrong red!!

The colour codes are written on the vin plates so not sure if there is a way to match it from a regestrarion number at a dealership.
