If you have bought a scrap discovery to pull the engine out and scrap the rest, and if you are looking for some rear seats, the dickies out of the rear of the disco, with a bit of custom fitting, will fit into the back of a 90/Defender or even a 110. I fit mine to the capping, it cannot be attached to the load area as the dickie seats have a pivot style fold away. This has saved my probably hundreds of pounds on buying proper rear seats, or will do until i find some mega cheap proper ones.:D

Ye the dickies mounted to the caping, i dont really want forward facing seats, because it ruins the load area and i dont want to have to find a place to mount the seatbelts.

It is the part that you bolt the hard top on, or if you have a canvas hood where the tilt frame attaches to, im not sure if it is the proper name for them. on early ninetys the galvenising was left unpainted on them.

If anyone wants pictures, i will happily email them to you, im not sure how too post pictures, sorry for any inconvenience!

er, the forward facing fold ups fold up to the side, just like any of the others. the mounting bracket also allows you to slide them off, therefore they do not need to be fitted 100% of the time. You can use lap belts on them. Im trying to sort out a 3 point system, may go for a fixed harness arrangement, need to look into it 1st.

I got them off ebay. Just type land rover rear seats into the search and scroll through. Mine were Vinyl trimmed with no belts, but £50 for the pair. I also got a single cloth style one for £20. Worth a look.

Spuddog has one in his 90 if anyone needs to know how they look.

Hi Dave,
Just tried to send you an email but it wouldn't go
I've just checked the pics of your disco dickie seats which you fitted in your Defender as I'm fitting a pair in mine soon. Did you fabricate those attachments yourself? I believe the long one is similar to a part already attached to the original seat. Do you have any measurements of the metal parts used, by any chance? Have you had any issues with such attachments? I'm afraid that the box sides are not strong enough!?
In any case thanks for posting the pics because they're of great help.
Cheers,
Kevin
