defender 90 rear forward facing seats with seat belts

Well there was a seller on ebay who made a conversion kit to facilitate the fitment of Puma style seats from the newer Defenders. I contacted him and got his permission to copy his listing photos, see below.

I would add that its not going to be cheap. The seats come up on ebay but go for over £500 and the conversion was also £180 plus £50 delivery.

It's just that I may be able to pick some seats up for nothing...could you pass on the contact details for this e-bay seller to see if he is going to have the conversion kit up for sale again.

Oh don't suppose you can get 2 sets of seats!! I have been too tight to bid on the eBay ones and I never bid enough when I do.

Still unsure I can get the ones for me...looking at bringing them back from abroad!!!
If it works I'll see what I can do...no promises though. It will not be for some time though as I'll need to do a few trips to get my ones back...break them down.

Well I got them both back all OK...now its just a case of finding the time to fit them!!

Sorry to butt in,i just got hold of some mini bus seats for£40 and bolted those in-their not removable but they do me. Otherwise Google Rescroft seats Plica model.

Hook, do you know anybody who has already fitted these Puma seats?

Can you tell me please, how are the alloy covers fixed? Are they just pop rivited? or bolted?

Is it possible to just buy a couple of mini bus seats with seat belt incorporated and fix them in the back of the 90? There are a few transit mini bus seats going on ebay local to me at the minute! Or is it better to fit the mod kit and buy the folding defender seats?

Yep, Mini bus seats can be used, Saw a thread on here were some one had fitted them, Just cant remember who

Cheers aaron, rekon 110 is gonna be the easier option though tbh! Just gotta suck it up n splash the cash now........
