Hi to all, I wanted to share this issue with everyone and ask advice.

I have a Defender 90 on a 57 plate and my headlight main switch started playing up recently. The problem was the side lights stayed on when I stopped the engine and removed the key. This then developed a new issue, when I tried to turn on the main lights (pushing the light switch to the forward position), only the side lights would come on. If I drove for a few minutes the main lights may come on but this was intermittent. Having taken the light switch out, cleaned up the contacts and put it back, it seemed to solve the original issue of the main lights not coming on but a new issue developed. When I switched on the high beam the main lights would go out totally! So I ordered a new mail light switch and indicator/high beam light assembly and installed them. Everything seemed sweet. Got in the Landy this morning, turned on the engine and pushed the main light switch forward but only the side lights came on again. Full beam is working fine. Would anyone know If there's a relay switch that possibly needs changing or can damp cause an issue with the switches? Any advice would be more than welcome as have to get the Landy through its MOT this week.

Cheers
