hi, i have a 200tdi defender 90... even though there are no keys in the ignition the rear fog light is constantly on including the little orange light on the dashboard... the only way i can get it to go off is to remove the top left fuse in the cab which is for the foglight, horn and interior lights???? anyone had this problem before as its racking my brains!
cheers

Have you tried removing the relay to see if it's sticking?

could well be, im slowly working my way through the wiring but taking forever... the interior light / dash lights arent working so im guessing somethings shorting through them???

the foglight it at full brightness and turning any other light or indicators etc on make no difference to it....

So it's a direct feed rather than a bad earth or slightly rubbed wire.

Does your landy still have the dim dip relay connected? Try pulling the plug out on it to see if that sorts it?

Do you have the fog light switch next to your wiper switch or beside your right knee cap? Have you tried pulling the plug off the fog light switch (whichever type it is) to see if that affects it?

If you have the foglight switch on the das I'm assuming that you have the dash/interior light switch by your right knee. Does it feel normal in its operation? Again, try pulling the plug off that.

where is the dim/dip relay??
yeah the foglight switch is on a stalk on the steering column and the interior light switch by my right knee... all switches seem ok and makes no difference disconnecting them.

behind the dash clocks. It looks a bit like a minature stereo amp....
