I'm looking at buying a Defender 90 (200/300) TDI and most of them are hard tops. Being quite new to the game, I'm interested in a soft top (roll bar, pick up style).
Do they have to be custom soft tops or are the hard tops easy to play around with (i.e. remove?) when customizing?

Excuse if this sounds like an ignorant post, I'm keen!

:welcome2:

You can do owt you want with a Landy mate.

10 minutes to remove tops and sides don't even bother unbolting the roof just undo the bolts holdng the sides to the reartub, & the bolts holding the roof to the windscreen. Remove rear door & stand up in side the back of the landy. Hey presto roof & sides removed

if you want a soft top you'll need a tailgate as well. and a tub with rope cleats or you'll need to fit rope cleats.
