Hi to all, i have a defender 90 hybrid with rear bench seats either side that run side ways and face inwards. (standard i suppose)
There are no seat belts but ive seen lap belt kits.
I ve read the "law" on childrens car seats but it dont cover this.
I wanna be able to carry my two kids in child saftey seats, safley! i dont really give a rats about the legislation side of it as long as they are safe. They are both due to go into forward facing seats and are/ will be 11months old when.I dont mind loosing the bench seats if needed or fitting child seats directly to a sub frame of some sort.
Am sure its been done before, dose any one have any suggestions on method or seat or where else to go for advice. Not a landy dealership, they just told me to upgrade, told them to go away in short jerky movements, i love my 90 hybrid.
Many thanks to all and anyone who reads this, more so if you got any advice.

furkin hecsk just had a look at their site and found the seats, i thinks i need more than a piggy bank to raid.
Thanks for the info sean.

i mind wen i were a rugrat, me a my sister though it was luxury when our dad fitted a seat for us in the back of the series 2 with a seat belt as well!! up until then we just sat on the floor! dunt think u'd get away wi that now adays....

I've put some forward facing transit seats in the back of my 90, they bolt through the floor and are fairly easy to put in and out, and have built in seat belts so the kiddy seats are held in firmly. There isnt a lot of load space left when hey are in and they weigh a load, but they keep the squidgy bits safe and sound and doris in peace-of-mind when they're in there! They cost less than £20.
