Defender 300tdi power steering pump pulley bracket broken

Can the pulley bracket be replaced/repaired (see photo) or do I need to get a whole new pump?

If you still have the broken bit, metal glue and shape a penny washer to suit, and glue that under bolt head

Unfortunately it seems to be the previous owner wot did it! The bolt was glued in!

I'd change it for peace of mind, plus it looks a bit wet around there so it may be leaking anyway?

Yes thought I might have to. It was wet as I took it apart in the rain

They aren't massively expensive, I'd replace it. God only knows how you break one in the first place.

Yes I wish I knew! Got one ready to go on Fleabay but the seller is asking which way the pulleys rotate as it's for a clockwise rotation. Surely if it's a standardised number ANR2157 itt's for that engine?

You could probably build weld up, drill and tap that if you really want to.

I would just replace though tbh, unless your in the middle of the desert and can’t get to a parts shop....
