Defender 300tdi engine mounts

I've just read:

300 tdi conversion

He said he had to move the engine mounts when replacing the TD with the 300tdi engine.

Will I have to move my 2.5N/A engine mounts to fit my 300tdi, even though mine is a Defender 300 Engine?

I've been told that I would need to alter the floorplan for R380 gearbox to fit.

is this right.....

Don't know to be honest

But i'm thinking the 300tdi conversion into a 90 is not the a straightforward job.

Just want to know wether the R380 just slots in, or is there some alterations needed?

Well... floorplan would be the plan of the floor... you know, where the seats go, where you put the kitchen table, sink etc.

Floorpan, now that would be the metal bit that everything sits on.

FWIW, the only bit of 'floorpan' you might have possibly need to change is the transmission cover between the front seats - can't see it being different meself, but stranger things have happened.

hi gofish i have a r 380 gear box in mine out of a range rover i did not need to alter the floor pan but you still need to alter engine mounts to fit a 300 tdi from a 2/5 na diesel as mounts are on back of engine on 300 and front on 2.5 hope this helps martin
