Defender 300 tdi bosch pump

I am new to landrovers i have a defender as above the pump is cracked on the threads where the banjo fixes to the front of the pump

I would like to know if the discovery and defender 300tdi are the same
I can buy a discovery for 200 euro more than i can buy a second hand pump

If they are the same i think that is the way forward

If, when you break it, i might be interested in a LHD 4 bolt pas box, if you end up with a good (no faults) unit.

(my 101fc is lhd, and id like to add power steering)

I am just getting more details because it could be fly by wire pump

I've just been reading up on the 300Tdi engines. If the one you are looking at is an automatic, then it could well be the 300Tdi with EDC (electronic diesel control) these engines produced 122bhp and were drive by wire LINKY
