Dear Forum Members

I have a 1990 Defender 90 200tdi county station wagon. This was purchased around 18 months ago as a project to complete with my 17 year old son. He has lost interest and poor old dad has had to complete the project. The vehicle is in excellent standard condition with the original engine.....somewhere etc.

We annealed the body work to straigted out a few panels but may have over done it slightly

All in all its a great 90 with a really strong engine. I need to sell, has anyone got any idea what it might be worth?

Any help greatly appreciated

The price of old Land Rovers varies considerably with age, condition, what mods/additions it has, what model/bodystyle it is. It is very difficult for someone to just look at it and go "that's worth £XXXX". The quality of work you have put into it will also affect the value.

Ultimately, I think the best thing you can do is put it on eBay with a sensible reserve and see what the market values it at. You might be pleasantly surprised.

I'd also advise you to pop into the "Introduce Yourself" section of the forum and do just that.
 
Depends on what it was like before you painted it I suppose and whether it's "proper" black or rattle can satin/matt. Personally that sort of thing doesn't bother me all that much as long as the bodywork is sound. OP says it was done by a local body shop so it could be a really good job.

Defender Pilot thanks for your constructive response. I have owned a number of series and defenders and always found the owners helpful like you. Perhaps others on the forum should follow suit and not be so rude and judgemental.....anyway rant over!
