defender 130 serious electric problem

Hello all apologies if this is in the wrong bit of the forum,couldnt see a technical bit,Ok so i have a 300tdi 130 tipper,about a month ago the indicators started going funny ticking quicker like a bulb was out,i only drive it occasionally so i didnt get right on it anyway today went past a mate and beeped my horn at him then drove thru a big puddle big splash.then my tipper stopped going up,i checked all fuses and wiresvto battery,eventually found a loose wire on back of moto,reconnected and now the tipper works.got back in the car and turned headlights on and nothing if i press the horn one sidelight and ann indicator comes on and foglight dashlight comes on but no horn,turn wipers and no wipers but heater comes on,interior light flashes as and when and stereo also the indicators make one sidelight come on and both indicators but dim.basically everything has gone doolally!I checked all thecfuses again incase i had dislodged something but all seems fine.i can only guess itvwas going thru the big puddle that done it and not me.Help! Anybody got any ideas,its like when you get christmas tree lights but its affecting everything,and i cant get the headlights or wipers to work whatever i do,everything else seems to work but not when you intend itvto.ie turn on horn and indicators go off etc etc.thanks in advance!

The symptoms you describe sound like an earthing problem - you switch on one component and another one comes on - which suggests that the electricity is creeping back to earth through other components. I'm not sure where they are exactly on your model, but that's what I'd start looking for. Dismantle, clean mating surfaces back to bright metal and reassemble.
