Hi All
Forgive my ignorance but....
I'm trying to renew my insurance, and all the insurance company sites are asking me to select the specific model of Land Rover that I have, for example an option on QuoteZone is "110 Defender TD5 Estate 5DR 2495cc Diesel Manual 1999-2007". The trouble is that all the options are 5 door only, and mine is a 3 door.
The websites also ask if my LR has been modified.

On my V5 it says it is a "Defender 110 TD5 , Light 4x4 Utility, Light Goods Vehicle, 3 seats"

I attach a photo - can anyone tell me exactly what model I have, and is it modified or was this a standard LR option when new?
Many thanks
Geoff

Hello Geoff
On Quotezone, choose '110' from the dropdown list for Model and not 'Defender' then you should find it.

Take care

oh maybe not sorry. It worked for a 90 in my case, but I just tried it for a 110 and it still only shows 5 door Defenders.
May depend on exactly what year yours is though.

You need to be careful with defenders. A guy I work with was looking at buying one, until his insurance company told him it was registered as a “van” and couldn’t be covered under his multi car policy. Maybe you have a “van” and your insurance company can’t cover it?

As a side note, look at your VIN and use a vin decoder. See if it was originally a 5 door and has been modified.

Edit: vin decoder

i have just bought a 110 like that with 300tdi in it.

believe it is titled a 3 door commercial which would make it a van, try it on direct line commercial quote and see teh go compare wont normally do Van even if insured for SDP

you could try Adrian Flux they are good on landy's and work weekends
