i have a 110 hard top and wish to have poeple in the back but i want to know do i have to have seatbelts in the back due to the postion of them will be faceing inward? there are no seats in back do i even need seats?

also is there a set number of people i can have in the back as long as they are on the wheel arches?

this has been covered so many times, you really should search! answer is seatbelts are dangerous on side facing seats, and if you want to fill the back with bench seats you will need 4 2-man bench seats

im an instructor at a TA barracks so could do with this happening lol
do i defo need seats in the back or can people just sit on the sides?
its also for cadets for when they go on exercise on and off road.

If you are going to be using it for mod stuff and personal use you should really have a work based insurance policy. But yes they will need to know.
As for do you require seats? I've ridden without. It is mega uncomfortable even just for half hour.

Your best bet is to get hold of 2 bench seats, either 2 or 3 seater and fit lap belts. Lapbelts are the only type of belt which can be fitted legally now to side facing seats. despite what an earlier poster said, lapbelts are not dangerous - but three point belts are as they are designed to prevent forward movement, and if you are sat sideways you risk neck damage with a 3 point belt.

Travelling with passengers without any seats, i.e. sat on the wheel arches, will almost certainly invalidate your insurance, as well as risk back injuries for your passengers.

Either way, if you're carrying passengers in the rear of your hardtop then you should tell your insurer.

Lap belts maybe legal but still quite dangerous sideways.
But as for if it is better or worse than no belts is open to discussion.

Personally, i intend to as i have a disabled sister. Need a belt to keep her in the seat.

the reason why i say lap belts are bad is try bending forwards and touching your toes and now do this sideways
