Defender 110 drive problem

Hi, New defender owner. Have drive problems. Was driving and appeared to come out of gear. With gear engaged and when releasing clutch would not drive. Only seems to drive in dif lock and seems to only be engaging rear wheels. Also can't get hi or low range.. Any ideas what problem might be??

sounds like a cv gone or maybe a half shaft cv be my guess:welcome2:by the way

Im with bucks on this , does sound like CV joint gone , could even be drive flange .

Yeah someone else has said cv joint. Not very mech minded so is this bad? And is it difficult to replace. Is there more than one of these and how would i tell which one.
