Hi all, I'm in the process of changing from my 90 for a 110 and I've seen one at a dealers called Rossendale Valley 4x4, has anybody had any dealing with this company? Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Don't know about that dealer but always start with the assumption that all dealers will do whatever they can to rid you of all your money for little in return. They may act like your are important when you walk in but they think you are a simpleton and have zero respect for you.

I'm in tune with you on that one! That's why I'm trying to do as much digging on these guys as possible to try to avoid walking into a heap of trouble, I'd rather buy privately but I've been looking for many months now and I'm having to broaden my search, thanks for the advice Col.

According to my series 3 wiring diagram, one wire from the lamp (white) goes to fuse contact 7 and the other wire (white/blue) goes to the switch. The other wire from the switch (white/yellow) goes to what is described as switch, cold start thermostat. That seems to be the same on a series 2a. Not sure if that helps any.

Hutch proceed with caution I'd say. Having recently bought a SIII that turns out to have electrical issues from a Specialist in Classic Land Rover®, I am inclined to concur with Colthebrummie. My suggestion is to bring an expert friend along when you look at the 110 again. Even if you get all excited about the thing, your friend may be the voice of reason... and guard your wallet.

No need to apologise col I guessed what had happened! And this is exactly why I'm worried about buying from a dealer VDB, it's a lot of money that is very hard to come by! I hate walking through the new vehicle mine field!

I had the luck to take a landy expert with me who has grown up with them. what about an AA inspection or RAC inspection
or maybe a landyzone member near you for guidance .I spent a year and an half looking at wrecks till I find ours or Bert found us. keep the Wonga wrapped in your wallet until your sure . good luck

I had that very idea so I emailed said dealer and asked if they'd have any objections to me get the RAC to do an inspection? The response from them up to this point had been very prompt, since I asked this question which was two days ago I've heard nothing! So I'm guessing there best avoided!

maybe they will get back to you in due course if not don't touch em

think one of the things with all car purchases is follow ur gut feeling on first impressions

if u get the slightest feeling something isn't right , walk away
