If you ask in the range rover section I am sure many will pipe up with alternative's. None would be easy though.

They only came in a couple of variety's, 4.0 or 4.6 but they can be made bigger with money. Some like me get lucky and greedy (6.3)

Depends what you really want although I am assuming the 2.5d just doesn't have the grunt you are after.
