Dash

I am looking to add some extra switches to the car for lights and such like, as well as tidying up the old ones, has anyone made a dash for this purpose,

Can I see some pictures of other peoples dash set ups!

Or had anyone used one of MUD-UK - Mud Defender Console

It's a land rover so mostly it is made from rust

Cardboard is a bit of a no-no, so is tissue paper.

Best bet is to use mild sheet steel or zinc, as long as it thin enough to do the job but thick enough to be resiliant and hold up.

Some people even use MDF or plywood to make up boxes and panels.

Yep. Make mudstuff ones look ****e & overpriced

Is indeed a Raptor dash and I would agree with the above.

I don't like the plastic on the mud dash, the metal Raptor looks and feels much better (to me).

I made my centre unit from wood, just cus it's what was lying around at the time - customised to hold a tablet pc running Memory Maps

Cheers for that, it will be on my christmas list

picked up an rdx dash at billing but have only got round to fitting a stereo into it so far :doh: cheap and cheerful and looks better than those single radio slots that dont fit a standard din stereo properly.

imo the mud stuff is better made but not sure if its worth the extra £££s. If you know what you want to put in the dash then raptor is prob the best option as they can pre cut it for you.

I got a raptor dash last year for xmas, brilliant bit of kit!
