Disco 1 Damn snails, getting everywhere!

Hello! Yes, I'm still alive...

I decided that after many years of looking the other way, I should really bite the bullet and repair my front inner arches. I stripped it all down, came in the next morning and some orrible little snails had crawled in the engine bay!

Has anyone got an suggestions as to what I should do?

That is quite big for a snail. Are you sure they're not some kind of engine ancillary? Looks a bit like the spinny-whooshy-wossnames on them posh 80s motors.

Personally I'd connect them up & see if you can get worse mpg than at the bottom of all posts by
