Anyone got any knowledge of, or experience with, these engines?

I am trying to find out the age/model so that I can change the timing belt before rebuilding the body around it.

Could you not find out from engine number?

thats the earlier 2.8td as not intercooled iIrc

this is a 1997 Fourtrack (Rocky F73?) that my mrs's father owns, I replaced the timingbelt lastyear and it wasn't a hard job

Ok, so further investigation reveals that it may be the precursor to the 2.8, ie the 2.7 TD that was produced from '88-'93

Unfortunately, Milner don't make any mention of this..that I can find.
