I'm working my way through my intermittent (always the worse type of fault) lack of power/misfiring on my '87 3.5efi.
I'm no used to working on cars these days & not encouraged by a bad back/less than perfect close range eyesight, but the RR is not a daily driver so time isn't important.
I'm going to try a new coil today, but will ask .. does a faulty ign. module result in the engine not firing at all, or can it just cause poor running?
The last time the car was used it ran well for about 4 miles before starting to play up, lack of power coupled with very rough running .. stopped the car & a period of stationary revving 'cleared' the fault, the car then ran with full power restored for a couple of miles to get me home.
