When you lock the car, what lights come on to tell you that the alarm is set. Since I bought the car the tail lights and side lights came on for a second, but today since the re-sync the indicators flash instead.

Yea, the battery was helped to discharge by the reverse and headlights coming on during the night for some reason. I think my battery is probably on its way out, I'm going to have it tested and replaced if needed.

If you replace the battery, get the biggest amperage you can, if the car is petrol, fit the diesel spec battery. Also check the alternator is charging correctly.

check your fuse box under the bonnet they dont last well prob only 5-7 years there is loads of corrosion opportunity where they are sited so check it as the becm relys on this big time and lots of becm faults are from this fuse box
